This renovation was phase two of a whole home renovation. We executed a modern kitchen that appealed to his love for colour and her desire for a more neutral space. The room needed to function as the main family hang out and work as easily for family life as for entertaining.
Fun facts:
- The initial inspiration for the space came from the Emerald green sofa, spotted by the designer (Shift Modern Home) at a deep discount at the beginning of the project.
- The coffee bar is built to look like freestanding furniture but serves as a functional coffee station (with outlets for the kettle and coffee maker)
- We mounted a metal panel to allow the family hub/bar combo to function as a magnetic wallpapered memo board
- Faux cabinets disguising the stack in the powder room (which would have been impractical to relocate).
