Transformed in University Heights

This home is situated on a beautiful lot, but the original design of the home did little to embrace the lush view. We pulled out the walls, vaulted the ceiling, and relocated/enlarged the windows and patio door. The result is a stunning and functional main floor that is both bright and warm. What a transformation!

Fun facts:
The "after" photos suggest we added skylights, but we didn't. The skylights were existing, but recessed so deeply into the ceiling that our homeowners almost forgot they had them! Vaulting the ceiling brought them into the space.

The appliances were dated but high quality, so we kept them and paneled the fronts, such a win to save these.

We also salvaged the original fireplace, pulling down the existing frame and mantel and fitting it with a stunning slab of stone
